Elnora D. Johnson

The history and life works of Elnora D. Johnson began to be written on October 5, 1932. The final chapter and last page was written on Friday, May 6, 2016. Elnora D. Johnson was the only child born to the late Franklin and Leola Hemphill in San Antonio, Texas. She began her Christian life at an early age. History records that she was educated primarily in the public schools in San Antonio, graduating from Phillis Wheatley High School. Elnora was united in Holy Matrimony to Wash Johnson and to this union seven children were born. Elnora was known to many as "Lampy". She was a very kind, devoted mother, grandmother and loving friend. She was deeply devoted to her family and was always willing to listen and share advice and did so with admiration and patience. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. She departed this life on May 6, 2016 at 9:45a.m. Elnora was preceeded in death by two children, Wash Johnson, Jr. and Donald Johnson. Her memory will be cherished by her daughters, Leola Warner and Pinkie Omar; son's, Franklin Johnson, Charles Johnson and Vernon Johnson and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandchild as well and a host of cousins and many, many dear friends.
