Emily V. Jackson

Emily Vaughan Jackson Emily was born on August 12, 1922 in Beaumont Texas and passed away January 31, 2013 in San Antonio, TX. She was born to Frank and Olive Vaughan of Beaumont, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, brother and husband. She is survived by her daughter Amanda Hochenedel, son in law, Jeff Hochenedel, three grandchildren, Max Hochenedel, Russell Hochenedel and Annabelle Ross and three great grandchildren, Judah Hochenedel, Sawyer and Blakely Ross as well as many nieces and nephews. She lived in Beaumont, TX for most of her life and went to Catholic school as a child, but was a lifelong Presbyterian. She was proud to serve in the Navy during WWII. She married Bruce M. Jackson in 1952. Her love of plants lead her to become an active member and judge for The Garden Club of America. She moved to San Antonio Texas some 20 years ago to be near her daughter and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the ASPCA or the Audubon Society.
