eva sullivan-nunn
Our mother, the beloved Mrs. Eva Sullivan-Nunn was born to the late Mr. Elder and Florence Jackson in Waelder, Texas on January 13, 1933. She attended the local schools and graduated with honors from Ralph Bunch High School. Later, Mother met and married the late Eddie Sullivan and to this union five children were born. After a period of time the family moved to San Antonio, Texas, making it their home. Mother worked in San Antonio Independent School District as a chef where she was highly recognized. She worked in the district until she retired. Mother was also a faithful member and usher at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church for many years. Mother was a powerful soul to our family and her wisdom and knowledge will forever live on in our hearts and memories. Her home, front porch, and her yard was her castle. She loved to cook and she was fashionable, she drove until her health began to decline. On September 10, 2021she left this world joining those who preceded her in death, Elder Jackson, Eddie Sullivan, eight grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Eddie Sullivan (Sharon), Eva Tiny Sullivan Thomas (Robert), Vernell Sullivan (Tracey), Josie Sullivan-White (Arthur L.); son-in-law, Lawrence, thirty five grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, one sister and brother-in-law. Psalm 23rd The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
