Juanita Maldonado July 28, 1958 ~ February 27, 2021 Juanita Maldonado, age 62, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 27, 2021. She was born July 28, 1958 in Trinidad, Colorado; the daughter of Juan and Della Maldonado. She attended Theodore Roosevelt High School in San Antonio, Texas and graduated in 1976. She was currently employed with AT&T as a Senior Records Clerk and had worked there for the past 25 years. She was a member of the congregation of Jubilee Outreach Church since 1989. If you would have spoken to her, she would say one of her greatest joys, was seeing her three children accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. She was humble, genuine, selfless and kind to all. Most importantly she always put God first. She enjoyed reading and hearing the Word of God. She also loved, worshipped, and danced for the Lord with all her heart and didn’t care who knew or saw. She enjoyed spending time with her family, spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her mother Della Maldonado, her brother Luis Maldonado and Juan Ernesto Maldonado, her three children; oldest son Lorenzo Hernandez, his wife Erica Hernandez, daughter Jessica De La Rosa, her husband Albert De La Rosa, and youngest son Richard Hernandez, her nine grandchildren; Larry, Eliana, Elora, Lorenzo III, Destiny, Amber, Alyssa, Mariah, and Gabriella, her three great grandchildren; Nova, Sadie and Jacob, her husband Ezell Griffin, her ex-husband Lorenzo Hernandez Sr and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Juan Maldonado, three brothers; Martin Maldonado, Elmer Maldonado and Israel Maldonado and her sister DeeDee Schuster. She was truly loved by her family and friends and will live in our hearts and memories forever. And because she had accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, we take comfort that we will see her again. A Visitation will begin on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 4:00-8:00pm at Meadowlawn Funeral Home, 5611 E. Houston St., San Antonio, TX 78220. A Chapel Service will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at 10:00AM at Meadowlawn Funeral Home. The service will be livestreamed. Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. My memory of my beautiful friend she got me thru alot of heartbreaks. When my sons dad passed away 21 yrs ago . At that time we were working at AT&T. I would go to her for prayer. She would always pray with me and for me. She helped me with Gods help get through that grief and pain. At one time we lived in the same apt complex. Her downstairs and me upstairs. We would have cell meeting and learn the word God. She was and still is a Warrior for Christ. When my son passed one year ago she was also there with me at the viewing. I thank God for putting this woman of God in my life. I will miss her dearly. I know she is rejoicing in Gods presence. REJOICE IN PEACE JUANITA. . Love you 🙏💪🙌

  7. My prima Juanita Maldonado Griffin passed away this morning and I ask for prayers for me and my family. She was a beautiful lady of God and I asked her for prayers in my past and wanted to share this powerful prayer she sent my way a few years ago. Rest in peace. My heart hurts for my family. I love you all and hope to see you all at the next Rael Reunion. Sorry Tia Della Maldonado Hugs xoxo Father God, I come before You In The Name of Your Precious Son Jesus Christ. I lift my cousin Jodie up to You right now. I claim The Blood of Jesus over us and our loved ones and The Stripes that Jesus took for our healings. I come up agaiinst the spirit of sickness, disease and infirmities and render them powerless in our lives. I come against the spirit of inheritance of hypertension and heart disease and all the symptoms that come with it. Daddy God I ask that You touch my cousin’s body (…Your daughter) that every organ functions to the perfection that You created them to function when you first created her. Daddy God let her feel Your Loving Touch. I call her healed and whole not by my power but by The Power that is In The Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, our All in All! Amen! (Happy New Year cousin, love you!)
