Michael R Clark Stephens Jr.

michael clark stephens jr.
Michael R. (Clark) Stephens Jr., affectionately known as “Mikey,” was the first and only son of Mrs. Deborah Jordan and Michael R. Stephens Sr. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on February 1, 1979. He confessed to Christ and was baptized at an early age and then again at West End Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas in 2012 by Rev. Dr. Michael Jolla. He later joined West End C.O.G.I.C. (Home of the Sweet Saints) under the Leadership of Pastor Jesse W. Denny Jr. Once Mikey established residency at Meridian Nursing Facility, he began attending Sunday Service every week. Mikey attended public schools in the SAISD. Most of his lifetime employment was as a warehouse worker. He was well known and well loved by many. His caretakers at the Nursing facility were reminded often by Mikey, that his “sunshine”(Deborah Jordan) was his Best Friend, and that he was a “mama’s boy” and very spoiled. They continued to carry that torch of spoiling him and went above and beyond for him, as if he was a part of their family. Mikey’s greatest achievement and what he was the most proud of, was being a father. He became a proud father at the age of 20, eventually having four daughters: Mychaelette, Macenitee, MyAngel and Azia. Mikey was always the life of the party, his smile could brighten up a room. He loved to tell jokes and always kept the mood light. It was his mission to leave you in a better mood than the mood he met you in. You could always be certain that if he was around, you would leave with your side aching from all of the laughter he provided. He enjoyed spending time with his family. As he journeyed through life, he created lasting memories with friends and family alike. Mikey had a light within him that shined so bright, there was nothing that could dim it. Although he fought a battle with an aggressive form of Multiple Sclerosis for years, his smile, carefree spirit and sense of humor remained intact until the day the Lord called him home. He was preceded in death by his maternal Grandmother, Maria R. Olivarez; his paternal Grandmother, Yvette Stephens and Grandfather, Eddie Stephens; his Uncle, Melvin Rizo; and his Aunt, Bertha Lee. He is survived by his Mother, Mrs. Deborah Jordan(Ron Jordan); Father, Michael R. Stephens Sr.; Daughters: Mychaelette, Macenitee, and MyAngel Stephens, and Azia Francis; Granddaughters, India and Magnolia; Sisters, Jasmin Bean, Leathia Bean, Alexis Bishop, and Cherron McKane; Brothers, Eddie Stephens III, Lamont Jordan, and Ronnie McKane; One nephew and twin nieces, Aiden, Zuri, and Zoë, as well as a host of family and friends.
