Patricia Ann Lee

patricia lee
Born on June 7, 1954 to James and Frances Lee, Patricia Ann Lee aka Ann became the 4th of 10 lively children and took her place in a tight knit family, filled with love and a deep-rooted belief in family values. At a young age, Ann devoted her life to Christ and served as an active member of Boyd Chapel AME in San Antonio, Texas. At Boyd Chapel, she served as the youth choir director, sang in the adult choir, and as a woman of many talents, served anywhere she was needed within the Church. Ann Lee graduated from Sam Houston High in 1972. She worked as a data analysis clerk for many years and enjoyed working amongst her work family. Patricia also expressed her love and talent for planning events, and in her spare time, she coordinated church events, family gatherings, baby showers and any other celebration At the age of 25, she gave birth to a son, who she named Aaron and became a dedicated mother, ensuring she raised him with love. In raising Aaron with love, Ann provided a strong family foundation for him to thrive in and taught him the importance of taking care of his family. With family being the center and foundation of Ann’s core values, she played an instrumental part in raising many of her nieces and nephews and made sure everyone sang in the church choir (except for Aaron). Eventually, Ann became a grandmother and known as “Grandma” to 4 beautiful children. She has been influential in raising her grandchildren and has left a special part of her, in each of them. A devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Patricia Ann Lee, was Everything to her loved ones, and in everything she did, she did with pride, a sense of humility, and a strong will. To know Ann is to know her strong will, vibrant and kindhearted yet outspoken spirt (she said what she said). To know her is to know her love for her family. To know her is to know her sense of organization, cleanliness, spirit of humility and will to help others. To know her is to know her sense of sarcasm and that we are eating Angel eggs, and it’s always raining dogs and cats outside. To know her is to know her love for family gatherings, good food, good music, spades and dancing, preferably line dancing. And know that you may be called to the dance floor for a two-step with her, when her song comes on, so be ready. To know her is to know that she would want us to remember that this life is but a stopping place, a pause in what is to be and there is so much more than we can see. To know her is to know that she would want us to live, laugh, and most importantly love one another. To know her is to know that she is comforted by Psalms 23, “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.” To know Ann is to love Ann. Proceeding her in death are her father: James Lee and her brothers: James Edward Lee and Allen Scotty Lee. Patricia Ann Lee is survived by her mother Frances Lee; her son: Aaron Lee (Shanita). her grandchildren: Tyson Lee, Aidan Lee, Aaryn Pinkie Lee, Jaxon Lee; her sisters Evelyn Williams, Dolores Lewis (Richard), Katherine Perry, Mary Williams; her brothers: Anthony Lee (Dorthy), Carl David Lee (Mae) & Ray; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
