Pearlene (Pearl) L. Conyers of San Antonio, Texas was called home by the Lord to his Kingdom on March 27, 2021 in Austin, TX. She was born to George and Ada Marie Liston on May 9, 1949 in Clay, Texas along with her twin sister Earline Stokes-Miles. Pearl graduated from Phyllis Wheatley High School in 1967 and went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Trinity University and her master’s degree in Counseling from Our Lady of the Lake University. Pearl worked in the educational field at St. Phillips Community College for over 40 years before retiring in August 2011. She served as a Counselor, Student Activities Counselor, and Chair of Counseling and Student Development. She was a founding member of New Creation Christian Fellowship Church of San Antonio, Texas. She was also the Founder and Executive Director of In the Potter’s Hand Ministries. Pearl made it her work to help others in many ways and served in various capacities with organizations devoted to the betterment of individuals and communities. She is preceded in death by her late parents, her sister: Lenora, and her nephew: Brandon. Pearl is survived by her brothers: Elzray, Adolph and Joe, sisters: Earline and Georgia and numerous close relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

  2. It was always good to be in Pearl’s presence. She was always positive and upbeat. She was truly a jewel, hence her name.

  3. Pearl’s warm smile and authentic personality was present every time I saw her. We worked in the Alamo College District for many years and later connected again at New Creation Christian Fellowship. This is where I was blessed to witness her actively serving in ministry and her love for people was still evident. You will be greatly missed…rest in the arms of our Lord.

  10. Minister Pearl was a great asset to our New Members Orientation class. she would share her story of how the church began. she would also take time out to minister to the individuals. she was a sharp dresser with a WONDERFUL SPIRIT. She will be GREATLY MISSED>

  11. Ms pearl conyer was my orientation counselor at st. Philip’scollege she would Direct me to take the class for my major to be dietitian, she was a wonderful woman and we show in places like doctor office and pawn shops and stores we always talk with each other about things in life.

  12. Pearl was an anointed Missionary Chairperson at New Creation Christian Fellowship Church where she inspired us to do God’s Will. She prayed for us and led by example. She encouraged me when I went back to College and encouraged many to complete their education. . She was a Great Prayer Warrior and will be greatly missed!

  16. Who was Minister Pearl Conyers? She was loving, kind, sweet, loyal, devoted, compassionate, trustworthy, a person of integrity, a godly woman, sold out for Jesus Christ. Minister Conyers was a powerful prayer warrior and one always seeking to save souls. She had a beautiful smile and a sweet demeanor. Minister Conyers fought a good fight, she finished the race well, and she kept the faith. Now there is a crown of righteousness laid up for her.

  17. Min Pearl will forever be the pillow of our church NCCF. She was an inspiration to me at church and also a mentor while I attended St Philip’s years ago. We worked in Mission together. Rest well Pearl you earned your crown.

  18. Heaven has a new Angel in the person of Min. Pearl Conyers. Pearl was a life changer at St. Philip’s College, New Creations Christian Fellowship and the community she served.
