Raul Ramirez Flores

Raul R. Flores passed away November 14, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 30, 1931 in San Antonio, Texas to Alejandro and Luisa Ramirez. Raul served his country as an EMT in the United States Air Force. He attended Sul Ross State University where he acquired his bachelor’s degree in Education all while raising and caring for his five young children. Years later, he went on to acquire his master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. He wore many hats, both figuratively and literally. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Raul is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Cynthia Herrera. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Herminia “Minnie” Flores; sons, Roy (Mary Jane) Flores, Michael (Melissa) Flores and Albert (Genevieve) Flores; daughter, Brenda (Hector) Collazo; son-in-law, Michael Herrera; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
