Wallace Thompson

wallace thompson
Wallace Thompson was born November 19, 1954 to Melvin and Bobbie J. Thompson. His father preceded him in death. Wallace entered eternal rest on January 28, 2008. Wallace attended public school in San Antonio and graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1973. Upon graduating from high school, Wallace was informed that his kidneys were not functioning properly and began dialysis. He did not let that stop him. Wallace volunteered at the Medical Center Hospital on the three days he did not have dialysis. His responsibilities consisted of transporting patients via wheelchair to various areas of the hospital and he would consult first time dialysis patients of the procedure and what to expect. His passion for life was known through his smile. Everyone knew that Wallace loved the Los Angeles Lakers, Washington Redskins and his music. Wallace was ambitious and full of dreams. After configuring and completing the biography of his life titled "Living 34 years on Dialysis" he was very proud. Quote from Wallace's autobiography: "Throughout my thirty-four years of dialysis my mother Bobbie J. Thompson has been by my side. There are not enough words to say how grateful I am to my mother. You are the reason why I have exceeded the fifteen years I was told I had to live. You are my life, my provider, my strength and I want to say THANK YOU MOM FOR YOUR UNCONDITIONAL LOVE". Wallace's life memories will be cherished by his beloved mother Bobbie J. Thompson; two uncles, Peter Grey and Sylvester Grey; one aunt, Frankie Grey; numerous cousins and very close friends. Extended family, Jeff and Charline Burks and the boys.
